Soul Focused Therapy
"My approach is integrative and holistic, attending to both the surface of your experience and the deeper, unconscious patterns that influence how you find your place in the world"
I am a counsellor rooted in Humanistic, Existential, and Jungian traditions, offering a space for deep, reflective exploration of the self. My work is grounded in the belief that each person holds an innate capacity for growth, meaning-making, and transformation when met with empathy, authenticity, and care.
I am particularly drawn to depth-oriented work that engages with the symbolic, the unconscious, and the inner life of the psyche. Influenced by Jungian perspectives, I support clients in exploring dreams, archetypes, and recurring patterns, helping to uncover the deeper narratives shaping their experience. This process invites a richer connection to the self—what might be described as soul work—where healing is not only about resolving difficulties but also about discovering meaning, purpose, and wholeness.
From an Existential standpoint, I welcome conversations around identity, freedom, responsibility, and the search for meaning, especially during times of uncertainty, transition, or loss. I aim to create a space where life’s deeper questions can be explored openly, without judgment.
My Humanistic foundation ensures that the therapeutic relationship remains at the heart of the work. I strive to offer a compassionate, collaborative environment where you feel seen, heard, and valued as you are.
I hold a particular interest in spirituality and the ways in which personal belief systems, inner wisdom, and experiences of connection—whether to self, others, nature, or something greater—can support healing and growth. I welcome clients from all spiritual backgrounds, as well as those who may be questioning or redefining their relationship to spirituality.
Together, we can explore the deeper layers of your experience, working at a pace that feels right for you, with curiosity, respect, and care.

Video counselling is a way to see me from your computer, laptop or smart phone, whilst engaging in therapy.
Telephone counselling is similar but takes place over the phone and without the use of a camera.
Counselling sessions usually last up to an hour at £58.00 per session, and take place on an agreed day and time on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
If you think my approach would suit what you require in a therapist, please feel free to get in touch via my contact page to arrange an informal chat before making the decision to proceed with counselling. Initial session appointments last around 20 minutes and are free of charge.
If sessions are taken up I ask that 24 hours notice is given if you need to cancel or amend the session day/time. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice full payment will be requested. I accept payment via bank transfer and provide a receipt following payment. I ask that payment is made on the day of the session.
Late arrivals will mean that the counselling hour is reduced proportionally. Arrivals later than 10 minutes will mean that the session will be cancelled. Full payment will be requested for the session missed.
I'm Rachel Williams and I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling; Humanistic and Existential modalities and a Jungian Therapy Diploma. I am a certified crystal healing and reiki practitioner and akashic records reader. I am also a certified Forest Therapy Practitioner. I work on the basis that we each know what is best for our own growth and that we have the ability to change our lives by reframing our perspectives. Often what is needed for our growth isn't known to us on a conscious level (how many times have you said the words "I don't know" when someone asks what's wrong?). The answers often lie within our unconscious.
I encourage those who enjoy words and images to bring poems, songs, tarot cards, and oracle cards that hold meaning into sessions when your own words are hard to find.
I am not here to give advice but rather to create the space that will allow you to see your own pathway that fits within the world that you live in. By delivering a non-judgmental and honest approach, I look forward to experiencing your world alongside you. It is a privilege to be allowed to experience your world, and your uniqueness, and I continue to learn from others time after time.

Trust is a big part of allowing you to explore your inner most thoughts and feelings which is why the pace of the sessions is determined by you. It is important that you feel safe and supported if therapy is to allow you to achieve your wishes or goals in life.
Counselling can be a life changing experience when conducted at the appropriate time, for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and maybe fears. It is also important to find the right counsellor
